Our agency is founded by a Registered Nurse with over 12 years of experience across long-term care, hospice, hospitals, rehabilitation, corrections, and home care. That experience helped shape the high standards we bring to caregiver selection, agency policies, and the way we support every client and family.
We screen every caregiver thoroughly — including IDPH Health Care Worker Registry verification, background checks, and reference checks. Then we match them to clients based not just on availability, but on personality and compatibility.

Our caregivers provide daily living support, safety supervision, companionship, and respite care for family caregivers — we do not administer medications, provide skilled nursing care, or perform clinical procedures. For clients who need skilled nursing or medical care, we're happy to help coordinate with the appropriate provider.
Do you accept Medicaid or insurance? At this time, Smith Premier Home Care accepts private-pay clients only. We are actively working to become an approved provider for select Illinois government-funded home care programs. As Founder and Administrator, she personally oversees agency compliance, caregiver training, and client matching—helping ensure every family who trusts Smith Premier Home Care receives the quality, compassion, and attention she would expect for her own loved ones.
